Natural Bilia Bassinet with Tan Handles
This gorgeous Bilia Bassinet, made from pesticide-free dried elephant grass and traditional powdered dyes, is completely handmade for your newborn. The basket comes with a fitted foam mattress pad that is safe for sleep; a basket liner and waterproof fitted sheet are sold separately. Due to the handmade nature of this basket, variations in color may occur. Ethically handmade in Ghana.

Materials: Elephant grass, dye, and Moroccan leather
Care: If you need to clean your basket, you can run it under cold or room temperature water for a few minutes or use a wet cloth to wipe it down. (This technique can also be used to reshape a basket that has lost its shape.) The basket should be set to dry outside (away from sunlight) or under a fan. Please make sure it is fully dried before use. Soap or spray cleaners may damage the basket.

Most importantly, all Design Dua baskets are safe for your baby. They are handcrafted in Ghana in a controlled environment to adhere to government-issued safety standards; in fact, Design Dua’s baskets are the only factory-made elephant grass baby products in West Africa. The baskets are tested in a United States CPSC-approved lab and meet all US safety requirements. All baskets are free of lead, pesticides, phthalates, and other heavy metals. Each basket comes with a fitted foam mattress, which is free of flame retardants. The leather used on the basket handles is Moroccan leather; no raw dried animal hide is used.
Moses baskets are a wonderful way to keep a new little one close by. Design Dua’s baskets are sturdy and lightweight; however, they should never be used as carriers or placed on an elevated surface (other than Design Dua's stands) with a baby inside. These baskets are intended for use until a child weighs 15 pounds or is able to push up, roll over, or crawl. Baskets should not be used with any other pillows, mattresses, or accessories than the ones created by Design Dua, as these may increase the risk of SIDS.
Due to the nature of the baskets, pieces of grass may begin to stick out after use. Please routinely check your basket and closely trim with scissors any pieces that have begun to stick out. If regularly using a basket for sleep, it should be used with a liner (link to liner).
